You Must Believe What The Word of God Says About Sex
It is not the will of God for you to fall into any of the sex traps. Please write that down! The Lord does not want you devastated by a sexually transmitted disease, broken hearted or bitter over a busted relationship, or suffering from paternity fraud or a victim of date rape. The primary line of defense the Lord has given you to protect yourself from avoiding sex traps is: you must believe what the Written Word of God says about sex. I Thessalonians 4:1-9 NIV
1 Finally, brothers, we instructed you how to live in order to please God, as in fact you are living. Now we ask you and urge you in the Lord Jesus to do this more and more.
2 For you know what instructions we gave you by the authority of the Lord Jesus.
3 It is God’s will that you should be sanctified: that you should avoid sexual immorality;
4 that each of you should learn to control his own body in a way that is holy and honorable,
5 not in passionate lust like the heathen, who do not know God;
6 and that in this matter no one should wrong his brother or take advantage of him. The Lord will punish men for all such sins, as we have already told you and warned you.
7 For God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy life.
8 Therefore, he who rejects this instruction does not reject man but God, who gives you his Holy Spirit.
We are commanded to avoid sexual immorality and you must have firm faith in that command. In verse 8, God makes it clear. The men and women who reject this command are not rejecting man, nor or they rejecting laws established by men, they are rejecting Almighty God! In verse 5, God calls the individuals who reject His Word, heathens or pagans. No wonder the consequences of disobeying God’s commands are so devastating. It is your responsibility and your spiritual and moral obligation to bring your body into subjection.
