With strong conviction in my heart to do my duty as a Citizen and a Christian the words of Samuel Adams & Charles Finney echoes in my head…

“Let each citizen remember at the moment he is offering his VOTE that he is not making a present or a compliment to please an individual–or at least that he ought not so to do; but that he is executing one of the most solemn trusts in human society for which he is accountable to God and his country.”

“The time has come that Christians must VOTE for honest men and take consistent ground in politics or the Lord will curse them. . . . Christians have been exceedingly guilty in this matter. But the time has come when they must act differently. . . . Christians seem to act as if they thought God did not see what they do in politics. Today I went out to the voting polls in my designated precinct and I have expressed what is important to me and made my VOICE heard by VOTING. This is among the most precious rights and responsibilities I hold dear as a citizen in a democracy, it is “the RIGHT TO VOTE”, specifically the right to cast a secret ballot. We are indeed fortunate to have been blessed to live in a country where we have a say in choosing the leader whom we want to seat in our local and national government. We ought to guard and value this GIFT!

Let us join our HEARTS together in PRAYER for our beloved country. Heavenly Father, we humbly come before Your Holy Throne and pray that You will PROTECT the SANCTITY of each of the VOTES that we have casts today, we pray that each one will be COUNTED so that truly the VOICE of the PEOPLE will not be taken for granted and we will not be robbed of the GOOD GOVERNMENT with GOOD LEADERS that our country deserves. This we pray in Jesus precious name. Amen.
